Whether you are looking for a fast pace, adrenaline charged activity or a tranquil, relaxing endeavour, this is the area that can meet and exceed your every desire. We have compiled a few of the many things one can do and experience, whether it be at a lake or on a trail; In the country or in a town; or on a golf course or motor cross track. However you choose to enjoy life, we have lots to choose from.
As well the area is full of fun events all year round; including winter light ups of the towns and villages, rodeos and fairs during the summer, and great harvest fun in the fall. Smoky Lake is at the western end of Alberta’s Iron Horse Trail. This multi-use trail is perfect for year round adventure. Hike, bike, quad, or take a horseback ride when it’s warm, and bring out the snowmobile and the horse-drawn wagon when the snow falls. If you crave competition, exercise, or just a fun casual time with family and friends, golfing is a great activity.
